This project involved the construction of a large orangery extension to a period residential property, creating a bright and spacious addition while respecting the character and proportions of the existing building.

Alongside the extension, a programme of decoration and renovation works was carried out throughout the property. These works included the installation of new flooring throughout, a new fireplace, and general internal refurbishment, carefully undertaken to complement the style and features of the original period home. New windows and doors were also fitted, improving both the appearance of the property and its thermal performance while remaining sympathetic to the existing architecture.

The project also included upgrades to the oil tank and heating system, enhancing the efficiency, safety, and reliability of the property’s services. Externally, a new patio was constructed to extend the living space into the garden, supported by wider garden works to improve usability and presentation.

A significant additional element of the project was the construction of a new two-storey double garage, designed to sit sympathetically alongside the period property. The garage incorporated office accommodation above, providing flexible additional space suitable for home working or ancillary use.

The completed works delivered a comprehensive enhancement to the property, combining new-build construction, sensitive renovation, mechanical upgrades, and external works to create a well-finished and highly functional home that retains its original character.
