Multi-Room Rear Extension
with Full Garden Landscaping
A substantial rear extension to a Grade II listed city-centre property, incorporating a bespoke orangery, cinema room, and home office, all linked by a purpose-built hallway. The project also included a full garden transformation, with careful attention given to heritage considerations, access constraints, and high-quality finishes throughout.

This substantial residential project involved the construction of a large rear extension to a city-centre property, incorporating a bespoke orangery, a dedicated cinema room, and a flexible office space. The new accommodation was carefully designed to enhance the existing home while providing modern, high-quality living areas tailored to the client’s needs.
A key feature of the build was a spacious link hallway, seamlessly connecting the original property to the new extension. This element required precise structural coordination to ensure both visual continuity and structural integrity, particularly given the constraints of a central urban setting.
In addition to the building works, the project included a complete garden transformation. This involved ground preparation, drainage, hard landscaping, and finishing works to create a functional and attractive outdoor space that complemented the new extension and orangery.
All works were carried out on a Grade II listed property, requiring careful attention to detail and a sensitive approach throughout the construction process. Materials, methods, and sequencing were selected to respect the character of the original building while integrating contemporary construction techniques.
Despite restricted access and logistical challenges associated with a city-centre location, the project was delivered to a high standard, resulting in a cohesive extension that significantly increased usable space while preserving the heritage and integrity of the existing property.
