This project involved the construction of a large oak-framed, barn-style extension designed to accommodate a new kitchen and utility room, creating a warm and characterful space that blended traditional materials with modern functionality.

The new extension was linked to the existing property via a bespoke oak-framed conservatory, providing a light-filled connection between old and new while maintaining architectural continuity. Careful detailing and structural coordination were required to integrate the oak frame with the existing building fabric.

Internally, the original kitchen was fully renovated and repurposed into a new living area, incorporating a dedicated bar space and a newly constructed shower room. This phase of the project involved reconfiguring layouts, installing new services, and upgrading finishes to create a cohesive and flexible living environment.

The external works were extensive and formed a significant part of the overall scheme. The garden was completely re-shaped to include multi-level grassed areas, formal lawns, and a variety of patio spaces designed for both practical use and entertaining. In addition, specialist retaining wall works were carried out along an existing brook or stream, stabilising the bank while enhancing the overall appearance and usability of the garden.
